Alright so today I figured out some simple ways to use Chelsea FC’s official Twitter stuff on my phone. Grabbed my phone, opened the bird app obviously, and went straight into this.
The Search Thing First
Typed “Chelsea FC” in the search bar at the bottom. The official account popped right up at the top – blue checkmark, tons of followers, you know the real deal. Hit that follow button immediately. Done step one.
Next up, wanted notifications so I wouldn’t miss any big news. Went onto their profile page. Top right corner, three little dots. Tapped that. Saw “Notifications” in the menu. Switched “All Tweets” ON. Boom. Now my phone buzzes whenever Chelsea posts. Annoying? Maybe. But necessary.
Finding Stuff They Post
Scrolled through their timeline. Saw photos, videos, match announcements. Needed to save stuff easily. Tapped the little bookmark icon under a cool goal highlight I saw. Simple. Saved it to my bookmarks folder to watch later.
Tried joining the conversation. Saw a post asking fans about best moments. Clicked the reply bubble. Typed out my own thing (“That Hazard goal vs Arsenal. Obvs.”). Felt risky posting but hit send anyway.
Pain Points (Yes, There Were Some)
Video playback sucked once. Started buffering mid-replay. Ugh. Just closed the app totally, waited a sec, and opened it again. Worked fine after that. Classic trick.
Also, the app sometimes acts slow when loading pics if my signal is trash. Noticed on the train home. Just had to be patient or wait for better Wi-Fi.
Little Things That Helped
- Pinched to zoom in on lineup photos on match days. Made the tiny names readable.
- Quick taps on a video to pause/play without sound during boring meetings (oops).
- Pulled down hard to refresh the feed constantly before kick-off. Obsessively. Because nerves.
Honestly? It worked pretty well overall. Got the team news fast, joined some fan chats, saved clips. Totally worth the few glitches. Just had to tap around a bit and deal with the app being the app sometimes. Blues on the go? Sorted.
