Mazrahi’s Struggles as Manchester United’s Newest Signing
As the team approaches the crucial moment of the UEFA Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur, Mazrahi, a defender, confessed his true feelings about this season in an interview. He said that the past few months have been really difficult.
Last summer, Mazrahi moved from Bayern Munich to Manchester United for a transfer fee of 15 million euros, with an additional 5 million possible if he performed well. It was supposed to be a fresh start to his career. After all, he won three Dutch league titles with Ajax and a Bundesliga title with Bayern, and he had good results.
However, after joining Manchester United, things changed.
Manchester United is now ranked 16th in the Premier League. This position is far from where United should be. For Mazrahi, joining a losing team was something he couldn’t have imagined before.
“Is it hard? Of course it’s hard,” Mazrahi said. Mazrahi said. “The club I played for before rarely lost, so I hated losing wherever I played. It’s so different here; it’s hard to adapt.”

Although United is struggling in the league, the team still has a chance to turn things around in the UEFA Cup. By beating Tottenham Hotspur in the final, they will win the trophy and qualify for next season’s Champions League competition. This would be a big deal for United in terms of team image and future reinforcements.
However, Mazrahi also admitted that winning the UEFA Cup wouldn’t hide their problems in the Premier League.
He said, “If we win the UEFA Cup, we can say this season is not a failure. But in terms of the Premier League, we are really not doing well.” “The Premier League is played every week, with many games in a row. People mainly judge your success based on your performance in the Premier League.”
Nevertheless, Mazrahi acknowledges that winning the UEFA Cup would provide significant psychological relief.
“At least it would make you feel better.” He continued, “This season has been particularly difficult for me. It’s my first time playing in the Premier League. It’s fast-paced, and there’s no winter break. I played in almost every game and had more appearances than in any previous season. It’s not just physically exhausting; it’s mentally exhausting as well.”
Next, United will play Chelsea before traveling to Bilbao, Spain to play Tottenham Hotspur on May 21 for the UEFA Cup title. The final is not only a matter of honor; it could also affect United’s plans for reinforcements this summer.
For Mazrahi, it’s a chance to turn the tables. A win would bring some light to a season full of disappointments.
