Today after dinner I sit down to figure out the Manchester United versus PAOK lineups for my blog. Pull up my laptop with cold coffee beside me, start typing into Google like usual.
What I Did First
Checked team websites. United’s official site easy to find but damn PAOK’s website took forever loading. Switched tabs to news sites when PAOK page kept freezing. Annoying as hell.
The Confusing Middle Part
Saw different lineup predictions everywhere. Some reporters said Maguire starting, others said Lindelof. Kept scratching head. For PAOK, nobody agreed on right wing guy. Scrolled through so many pages my eyes started hurting.
Made quick notes in notepad app:
- United Defense Mess: Shaw injured per sky sport news, so Amrabat might fill in weirdly
- PAOK Attack Mystery: That Brazilian dude Samatta still not fully fit? Or is he?
Getting Somewhat Organized
Drew simple comparison on paper napkin when notebook app crashed:
- Goalie: Onana VS Zivkovic
- Midfield: McTominay/Amrabat VS Ozdoev
- Strikers: Rashford/Hojlund VS Tyson
Realized I mixed up Ozdoev with another guy spelt similar. Cursed loudly. Had to redo whole midfield section twice.
Why This Stressed Me Out
Ten Hag keeps changing starters like socks this season. PAOK’s coach not better – zero consistency in lineups last five matches. Makes prediction feel like lottery ticket.
Drank rest of cold coffee. Strong feeling Antony would start despite being crap lately. Just vibes though.
Final Guesses Before Publishing
Ended up with my predicted XI after looking at training pics:
- United: Onana – Dalot, Maguire, Evans, Amrabat – McTominay, Mainoo – Antony, Bruno, Garnacho – Hojlund
- PAOK: Zivkovic – Kedziora, Troost-Ekong, Varela, Otto – Marcos Antonio, Schwab – Murg, Ozdoev, Tyson – Brandon
Betting McTominay scores header while PAOK defends like wet paper. Won’t put money on it though – lineup guesswork always bites me later.
