Just got back from playing five-a-side with my mates, and I really wanted to check the latest Peru vs Chile stats. Grabbed my cracked phone while drinking lukewarm coffee and started digging around.
Where I Looked First
Searched like a madman on three different stats sites. First one had ancient data from 2010 Copa América. Second site loaded slower than my grandma walking upstairs. Third one finally had current stuff but kept showing pop-up ads for football boots.
The Headache Part
Tried comparing numbers from all three sites. One said Peru won last match 2-1, another said 1-0. Got so frustrated I almost threw my coffee mug. Finally found match footage on social media to confirm actual score.
How I Organized This Mess
Opened my rusty Excel spreadsheet that hasn’t been updated since Ronaldo had hair. Made five columns:
- Match date
- Who hosted
- Final score
- Who won
- Yellow/red cards total
Took me three tries to spell “Peru” right – kept typing “Peru” as “Perú” with accent mark like an idiot.
The Big Picture
After staring at blurry numbers for an hour, noticed Chile won six of last ten games. Peru scored way more goals at home like they get superpowers from mountains. Crazy how fights always break out – seven red cards total in their last five meetings!
Why This Matters
My mate Carlos bet me fifty bucks Chile would crush Peru next month. After seeing how Peru plays at home? Changed my bet faster than Messi dodges tackles. Stats don’t lie – except when websites do.
Saved the spreadsheet as “PeruChile_FINAL_v3_real_final”. Might actually check again when they play. If Carlos loses, drinks are on him.
