Alright so yesterday afternoon I’m sitting at my kitchen table staring at this Leicester City fixture, trying to make sense of Klopp’s head. Like, always guessing what he’ll do next gives me a headache.
The Starting Point
First thing I grabbed was yesterday’s training pics. Seen those online, like always. Trent was running drills. Konate looked sharp too. So immediately thought okay, main guys back in defense.
Then remembered Szoboszlai was limping last week. My brain went “nah, he ain’t starting.” Pulled up my notes app. Wrote down:
- Mac Allister deep
- Jones left
- Elliott sneaks in?
The Big Headache
Then I bumped into the forward mess. Nunez scored against Villa. Diaz worked hard all week. But Gakpo was useless lately.
Started scribbling:
- Left: Diaz
- Right: Salah (duh)
- Middle: …Nunez? Or stick with Jota?
Changed my mind seven times. Seriously. My dog looked confused watching me pace.
Real Life Slaps Me
Just as I thought I nailed it – front three Diaz-Nunez-Salah, Jones for Szobo – my freezer decided to die. Like full-on angry buzzing. Ice cream melted everywhere.
Had to run to the store. No time for this game crap! Standing in that freezer aisle staring at replacements? Pure torture. Thought about Klopp subbing players while choosing between ground beef and pork shoulder. Absolutely ridiculous.
Got back, chucked the new frozen stuff in. Checked my phone. Saw updates:
- Konate confirmed fit
- Szoboszlai late fitness test
- Thiago… forgotten
Finally Throwing It Out There
So after the freezer nonsense? My brain felt fried. Slammed this nonsense down just now:
- Alisson (safe)
- TAA – Konate – Van Dijk – Robertson (no surprises)
- Mac Allister – Jones – Elliott (Szobo misses out)
- Salah – Nunez – Diaz (Jota bench warm)
Total waste of hours? Maybe. Leicester probably ain’t sweating anyway. My ice cream definitely lost. And honestly Klopp? He’ll probably start Gakpo and make me look stupid. Whatever. Practice record done. Off to scrape defrosted lasagna off my floor.
