How Does the Liverpool FC Goalkeeper Kit Fit Get Sizing Tips Before Buying

So I’ve been looking to grab that new Liverpool FC goalkeeper kit, right? Heard it looks fire, like that bright green one Alison’s been rocking. But goalkeeper kits? They fit weird, man. Always tight in some places, loose in others. Last time I just guessed my size? Total fail. This time, I was determined to actually figure it out before hitting ‘buy’.

Started With Zero Clue, Again

Okay, first step: go to the official store online. Found the goalkeeper section. Saw the sizes: S, M, L, XL… the usual. But goalkeeping gear ain’t like a regular tee, is it? Need room to move for those dives, but not so much it flaps around like a sail. Was clueless about Nike’s sizing for these.

How Does the Liverpool FC Goalkeeper Kit Fit Get Sizing Tips Before Buying

Scrolled down looking for a chart. Boom, found the size guide. Clicked it. Numbers and measurements everywhere – chest width, length, sleeve measurements. Felt like decoding a map. Grabbed my soft measuring tape (thankfully I have one, otherwise use a string and ruler!).

Measuring Time, Got Weird Looks From The Dog

Stood in front of the mirror. Measured my chest: around 102 cm just under the arms. Measured my waist where the kit would sit: about 91 cm. Checked the size chart against this.

  • Medium said Chest: 104-109cm, Waist: 91-97cm.
  • Large said Chest: 112-117cm, Waist: 99-104cm.

My measurements barely squeezed into the Medium range. Waist exactly at the lower end. But chest? Slightly under. Started sweating. Remembered last season’s kit felt like a straightjacket around the chest and shoulders. Learned the hard way goalie tops run tight in the chest/arms because of the padding and mobility needs.

Past Trauma Hits – Remembering the Struggle

Seriously thought about ordering M, since my numbers kinda fit. Then flashbacks hit. Last time my chest measurements were almost at the top of a Medium chart for a keeper top… got the M… could barely lift my arms properly, felt choked trying to catch high balls. Absolute nightmare.

Nope. Not again. No way was I falling for that trap twice. Keeper kits need breathing room, especially across the back and shoulders. Those lunges? You need stretch.

The Gamble – Went Big (Literally)

Ignored my exact numbers sitting near the bottom of Large. Looked at the top end of Medium – too close for comfort. Checked the Large range again: Chest 112-117cm. I’m at 102cm. That’s a whole 10cm smaller! Felt scary ordering so much ‘extra’. But better loose than unwearably tight, yeah?

Took the plunge. Ordered the Large. Waited. Nervously.

It Arrived… Dread & Relief

Box shows up. Ripped it open. Held it up. “Damn, this looks HUGE,” I thought, heart sinking a bit. Pulled it on.

Mind. Blown.

Fits perfect! Seriously!

Length is spot on. The chest and shoulders? Comfy. Can move my arms like Alison making a top-corner save. No pinching under the arms. No feeling like I’m stuffed into a sausage casing. The waist isn’t baggy either – it’s athletic fit, snug without squeezing. The material stretches where it needs to, especially around the upper body.

So Here’s The Real Deal

What’s the actual tip? Forget buying the same size as your regular tops. Seriously.

One Size Up: Unless you’re built like a brick house and your measurements are solidly at the top end of a size, go up one whole size from your usual Nike t-shirt size. My usual Nike t-shirt? Medium. Keeper kit? Large.

Measurement Chart is Your Friend, But Be Smarter: Use it, don’t just match the numbers perfectly. Lean towards the upper size if you’re anywhere near the max of the lower one. Those charts feel like they’re lying about the tightness.

Freedom Matters Most: You NEED mobility in that chest and across the back. Can’t dive properly feeling like your arms are tied down. Too loose is better than too tight here.

Really glad I measured, remembered past pain, and gambled on the Large. Feels and looks proper. Save yourself the hassle and returns, just size up!
