Should Arsenal consider signing Sesko?
Recent news has suggested that Arsenal could focus on a young striker in the transfer market this summer – RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. The suggestion comes from Rune Gjerulff, editor of German soccer outlet Bulinews, who believes the 21-year-old would fit well into the Gunners’ tactical system.
Last season, Arsenal failed to win any trophies, which made the team management realize that they have to strengthen their squad in the summer, especially in the attacking end.Several of the current strikers in the team, such as Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka, have been injured, leading to manager Arteta having to temporarily play midfielder Merino in the center forward position. This is a situation that the team does not want to see again.

As a result, Arsenal are looking for new strikers.Aside from Sporting Lisbon’s Victor Giocairez, they have also set their sights on RB Leipzig’s Cesc. While Giocherez is older and more experienced, Arsenal now prefer to bring in the younger Cesc, according to The Independent.
New sporting director Andrea Berta is said to have assessed the possibility of a deal and believes a price tag of around £75m is acceptable. And Gerouf is supportive: “Despite Leipzig’s less-than-stellar season and the change of manager affecting the players’ form, Cesc is still one of their most reliable players.”
“He’s very physical, a fast runner with good stamina and a good shot in the box.”Jerruf added, “Whether he’s running with the ball or without it, he can create a threat.”
However, if Cesc really wants to join Arsenal, he also needs to improve his passing ability and sense of coordination. After all, the Premier League is much faster-paced and demands more versatility from its strikers. But at only 21, he still has a lot of room to grow, and he’s always trying to improve.
Overall, signing Cesc is a worthwhile investment for Arsenal to try.He can bring a different attacking option to the team and can be an important part of the forward line for years to come.
