Getting That Spurs Shirt Right
So, my kid’s been buzzing about wanting a new Spurs shirt, right? But not just any off-the-shelf one. Nah, he wanted his name and a special number on the back. Figured, why not? Let’s actually figure out this customization thing properly this time instead of just wondering if it’s even possible.
First off, I opened up the browser on my phone and typed in something like “tottenham custom shirt” – dead obvious. Saw a bunch of places pop up, some looked dodgy, some official. Clicked on what looked like the real club shop one. You gotta be careful with knock-offs, you know? Takes ages to arrive and looks like crap.
Found the shirts section easy enough. Saw the current home jersey – classic white. Then there was this button or link somewhere that said like “Personalize it!” or “Add Name & Number”. Hit that bad boy. Immediately got prompted:
- First: Pick the shirt style and size. Kid’s growing fast, went for a size up.
- Second: Choose the name. Typed in “SKIPPY” – his nickname, dunno why, kids are weird.
- Third: Pick the number. He’s obsessed with number 7, so punched that in.
- Fourth: Font and color options. The standard prem font was clear, stuck with that. Red for the lettering seemed to match the shirt trims.
Honestly, almost messed it up typing “SKIPPY” – thumb slipped and hit SKPPY first time. Thank god they have a preview image! Saw it looking wrong and fixed it real quick before adding to cart. You really need to check that preview.
Checked the cart, saw the extra cost for customization added on top of the shirt price. Bit of a sting, but hey, birthday present. Paid the standard shipping fee, nothing fancy like express. Got the confirmation email maybe 10 seconds later – felt reassuring.
Waited like 8 days – tracking was just “Processing” most of that time, started sweating a bit wondering if the name got messed up again. Then boom, arrived in a solid cardboard mailer. Pulled it out… perfect! Crisp white shirt, “SKIPPY” and the number 7 looking sharp and properly pressed in red. Not peeling or cheap looking. Kid put it on immediately and hasn’t taken it off. Job done. Lesson learned: totally doable, just pay attention when typing and use the preview!
