Gabriel Jesus lineup position for Arsenal FC against Nottingham Forest confirmed
So this morning I woke up buzzing about the Arsenal lineup against Forest, yeah? Needed to know exactly where Arteta was slotting Gabriel Jesus today. Grabbed my phone the second my eyes opened, heart kinda pounding ’cause last minute changes drive me nuts sometimes.
The Hunt Starts
Jumped straight onto my laptop right after coffee – strong one, black, no sugar. Hit up Arsenal’s official stuff first, obviously. Main place and all the socials. Nothing yet. Typical. Twitter was buzzing madly, though. Loads of rumour accounts shouting different stuff:
- @InsiderAFC: “Jesus starting CENTRAL upfront, guys! Lock it in!”
- @TheCannon: “Left wing for Jesus today, trust the process”
- @RealFootyTalk: “Dropped?!?”
Made me sweat buckets. Who do you even believe? Scrolled like a madman for a solid hour, phone and laptop blazing. Discord, forums, even checked some weird fan Facebook groups. Whole lot of nothing concrete. Just noise, noise, noise.
The Moment
Suddenly, boom! Official tweet pops. Fingers trembling a bit hitting refresh so hard. There it was, bold as brass: the starting XI graphic. Scanned it super quick. Found him. Striker. Centre-forward. Main man up top. Big sigh of relief washed over me, felt like I’d run a mile.
Exactly where he should be for this game, honestly. Forest defence looked shaky down the middle. Saw a space he could feast on. Arteta playing it smart.
Making Sense
Looked at the whole lineup picture. Eddie dropped to the bench, obvious call really. Saka on the right, Martinelli left. Midfield double-pivot Jorginho and Rice. Defence solid as usual. Yeah, makes total sense putting Jesus central.
- His energy pressing from the front? Perfect against Forest trying to play out.
- Link-up play? Needed smack bang in the middle.
- Goal threat? Best place for him to find those half-chances.
Just felt right seeing it confirmed. Whole morning stressing paid off. You know? When the manager does what you kinda hoped he’d do.
So yeah, mission accomplished. Officially Gabriel Jesus playing striker today. Now to actually watch the game and hope he bangs one in.
