Seriously. How hard is it to just know who’s playing? Felt like trying to find your phone in the dark while it’s buzzing on silent.

Ditched the rumors. Needed the source. Finally found the Liverpool site post. Great! “Squad News Update”. Perfect! Clicked it fast.
Oh boy. Was just a big wordy piece talking about “potential strategies” and “player fitness”. The actual XI? Not a single name listed. Thanks a bunch, guys. Gimme meat, not potatoes!
Switched over to Fulham’s site. Same story! Talking about the “excitement” and the “home advantage”. Fantastic chit-chat, fellas. Where. Are. The. Players?!

Fulham FC Official Account: Sharing pics of the stadium getting ready. Pretty…? Not helpful.
Fabrizio Romano: Transfer guru. Silently waiting for summer moves, I guess.
David Ornstein: Top dog for Arsenal news. Crickets for this match.
Sweating now. Knew X was my best shot, but finding the legit post was like digging for treasure in a dumpster.

Refreshed like a madman. Finally saw it pop up:
Liverpool FC Official: “Tonight’s starting XI to face Fulham” with a list! Yes! Scanned it. Diaz? Starting. Trent? Right where he belongs. Relief!
Fulham’s account followed right after with their bunch. Just copied the names down fast:

Why Is This So Stupid?
Why the runaround? Simple.
- Those rumor sites need eyeballs. Don’t care about reliabilty, just clicks. They’ll say anything.
- Official club sites? They want you to soak in the whole “brand experience” first. News comes second. Drives me nuts.
- Social media? Fastest way. But gotta wade through hype posts and ads to find the one nugget of fact.
Ended up with the lists eventually, felt like I’d run a marathon. All for eleven names. Football, eh? What a damn hot mess just to see who kicks off. Patience wearing real thin next time!
