Chelsea FC Family Hotel Packages: Special Offers for Fans Visiting London

So I’m sitting there with me mates watching Chelsea play on TV, right? And we start dreaming about seeing a proper match at Stamford Bridge. My kid’s mad about football too, so next morning I’m googling how to make this happen without going broke.

Stumbling Across the Deal

Turns out Chelsea does these family hotel bundles specially for overseas fans. Who knew? Spent ages comparing normal hotels versus these packages. The big thing was match tickets included – proper seats together, not nosebleed section. That alone made my wallet breathe easier.

Booking Nightmare Turned Win

Sorted the dates through the official Chelsea site – clicked the “Hospitality Packages” bit. Found the family section but nearly messed it up proper:

  • Wrong dates: Almost booked when the team was playing AWAY – gutted when I noticed
  • Room confusion: They had “family room” meaning two adults OR adults with kids – nearly booked two separate rooms like a doughnut
  • Breakfast scramble: Nearly missed ticking the full English option thank god my missus checked

Got confirmation email instantly though. Relieved doesn’t cover it!

The Actual Experience

Rocked up to the hotel near Earl’s Court. First thing – got handed this massive welcome pack: scarves, lanyards, even activity books for the little one. Room had Chelsea bedding and framed photos of legends. Bit tacky but the kid loved it.

Match day was properly organised:

  • Special shuttle bus: Left right from hotel car park with other families
  • Early stadium access: Walked pitchside before crowds arrived – mad seeing how small the actual ground is
  • Food vouchers: Saved about £25 on stadium burgers. Still overpriced but less painful

Staff kept calling my kid “young blue” – proper made his year.

Aftermath

Honestly thought it’d be one of those tourist trap rip-offs but genuinely worth every penny. Kid slept hugging his scarf whole ride home. Still owes me 50 quid for the extra merchandise though – never trust a 10-year-old near a club shop!
