brighton women vs man city wfc squads starting 11 updates and where to watch
So this morning I spilled coffee on my keyboard while checking Twitter – classic Monday move. Saw folks buzzing about Brighton Women vs Man City today and realized kickoff was in like, three hours. Panic mode activated.
My Hunt for the Starting Lineups
First I smashed refresh on Brighton’s official Twitter feed. Nothing. Just promotional crud about merch sales. Switched over to Man City’s page – same story. Why do clubs always leave it till the last dang minute?
Tore through three garbage sports apps next. All showed outdated squads from last week’s matches. One app insisted City’s starting striker was injured. Useless. Finally hit up some footy forums. Scrolled past twenty pages of fans arguing about manager tactics before finding a blurry screenshot someone grabbed from a paywalled site. Not ideal, but gotta work with it.
The Squad Situation
From what I could squint at:
- Brighton: Looks like Porter’s sticking with Williams in goal. Fisk ain’t starting? Big gamble after their shaky defense against Chelsea.
- City: Bunny Shaw’s leading the attack (obviously), but no sign of Hemp?! Saw later she tweaked her ankle in training. Absolute gut punch for fantasy players.
The “Where to Watch” Disaster
Assumed it’d be on the usual FA Player stream. Opened it expecting smooth sailing. Got slapped with a “Not Available in Your Region” notice. Since when did England block streams in England?! Cue frantic Googling.
Checked cable schedules – nope. Two premium sports channels required subscriptions I ain’t paying for one game. Almost gave up until a buddy messaged saying try that one… alternative streaming community (you know the type). Took fifteen minutes clicking dodgy links and closing pop-up ads showing things grandma shouldn’t see. Finally got a pixelated stream buffering every two minutes. Picture quality was like watching through a shower curtain, but hey, it was live.
Missed the first goal scrambling though. Classic. Saw City clobber Brighton 4-1 while eating cold pizza. Moral of the day? Always start the damn lineup hunt yesterday. Or just accept sometimes football makes you suffer before kickoff even happens. Like playing midfield against that City press.
