Arsenal FC shorts 2024 collection? See new home away training shorts
So earlier today I had this wild thought – wanted to grab the latest Arsenal shorts. Figured it’d be nice to own the new home kit, maybe away version too since the wife always says I need more gym clothes. Jumped online ready to click buy.
First thing, tried loading the official shop. Site went slower than a turtle stuck in molasses. Spinning circle just kept spinning while I sipped cold coffee. Finally saw the collection page – bam! Home shorts look sharp with that classic cannon crest right on the left leg. Away ones are deep greenish-blue, interesting fabric pattern close up.
What actually happened after I clicked “Add to Cart”:
- Sizing disaster – medium shows as “in stock” but when I picked it? Poof! Error message saying “not available”
- Training shorts section? Pure chaos. Ten different types from “pro lightweight” to “stadium edition” – nobody tells you which ones breath better
- Got weird “technical issues” popup halfway through checkout. Lost my whole cart. Twice.
Ended up driving across town to the physical store. Thought “easy fix”, just grab and go. Reality? Whole store felt stripped bare. Racks looked like locusts attacked them – only XXL home shorts left. Training gear section was worse. Employee shrugged: “Online gets restocked first.”
Waited 20 minutes for them to “check the back”. Came out holding one single pair of away shorts in large. Fabric felt thin but stretchy. Fine print warned “colours may bleed in wash”. Didn’t care. Took it.
Wore them straight to the park for a kickabout. Big mistake. First sprint – stitching near the waistband started pinching like crazy. Sweat patches showed up darker than expected too. Mate pointed at my leg laughing: “Looking a bit leaky there!”
Got home, threw them in the wash gentle cycle like the tag said. Pulled them out? Crimson smudges all over the white stripes. Turns out the dang cannon logo bleeds when damp. Used my phone torch to check the inner seam – tiny label says “test version”. Test version?! Paid full price for prototype shorts?
Why do I keep doing this every season? Club knows we’ll buy anything with cannon on it. Last year’s shorts still hold up better than these. Might stick to knockoffs next time.
