Okay so yesterday I decided to check how Santos FC was doing this season. You know how it is – when your team keeps losing, you kinda avoid looking. But I grabbed my coffee and finally faced it.
Opening the Laptop Drama
First I flipped open my old laptop. Thing took forever to wake up like always. Typed “Santos FC position right now” in the search bar – no fancy websites, just regular Google stuff. Damn ads popped up everywhere trying to sell me jerseys I can’t afford.
The Table Hunt Struggle
Saw several results but clicked the third one cause it said “live standings”. Big mistake. Site looked like it hadn’t been updated since last season. Saw Santos sitting near the bottom – 16th place? No way. My gut said that’s total bullshit cause last month they were 10th.
So I tried again with “Serie B latest table”. This time it worked better:
- Scrolled past like ten team logos
- Spotted the green-white badge
- Saw they were actually in 14th
- Points column showed 13 points
- Last 5 games showed L-L-D-W-L
Making Sense of the Mess
That last win column made me feel a bit better honestly. Still crap position overall though. Checked the gap between Santos and the relegation zone – only 2 points cushion. Sweat started forming on my forehead for real. Remembered last season’s disaster and almost smashed my coffee mug.
Got curious about goal difference cause that could screw them later. Minus five. Ugh. That’s worse than my ex’s cooking. Then I noticed Vitória just above them with same points – basically tied. So basically every game matters like crazy now.
The Reality Check
Closed everything and just sat there staring at the wall. This team keeps making me stress but I’ll still watch their next game. Probably gonna lose hair before season ends though. Might need to stock up on cheap beer before Sunday’s match.
