Tried finding stats online like an idiot. Four different sites showed four different tables! Like, how the hell does Harbour View go from 3rd place on one site to 7th on another? Total garbage.
Getting My Hands Dirty
Finally found the legit source – the official league feed. Spent hours copying data into a spreadsheet:
- Fixed typos in team names (seriously, “Arnett Gardens FC” got misspelled THREE ways)
- Recalculated goal differences when numbers didn’t add up
- Color-coded top playoff spots vs relegation zone
My wife walked by and asked why I’m yelling at Excel at midnight. Told her Mount Pleasant FA’s points-per-game ratio was mathematically impossible. She just backed away slowly.
Surprising Findings
Turned out most mainstream sites had outdated tables by weeks. The real juice:
- Cavalier SC quietly dominating with 10 unbeaten games
- Portmore United collapsing harder than my kid’s Lego tower
- Waterhouse FC making a crazy late-season comeback
Sharing The Madness
Posted my corrected table online with bullet-point notes. Got flooded with comments from Jamaican fans saying “FINALLY someone gets it right.” Some local reporter even asked permission to use my chart. Felt like a goddamn data wizard for five whole minutes.
Still can’t believe how much detective work goes into one damn standings table. But seeing Portmore fans rage-comment about their position? Worth every headache.
