Right so yesterday I settled in ready for Spurs vs Liverpool, grabbed snacks and all. Turned on the stream bang on time, feeling pumped. First thing that happened? Liverpool sliced through the Spurs defence like butter. Van Dijk with a massive header off a corner in the 15th minute. Felt inevitable mate. Spurs looked shaky at the back.
Then things got messy around the 30-minute mark. Richarlison went down in the box after a clumsy challenge. Ref waved it off! No penalty given! Absolute uproar online. VAR took a peek but nah, stuck with the ref. Could’ve changed the whole game, that one. Fans were fuming in the chat, pure chaos.
Second half kicked off and Spurs came out flying. Sonny found space just after the break, slipped one past Alisson. Level! My living room erupted! 1-1 and suddenly it felt like anyone’s game. Nerves were jangling proper. Intensity went through the roof. End-to-end stuff now. Skipp clattered Curtis Jones right in front of us, clear yellow. Atmosphere went toxic.

Last twenty minutes? Pure stress. Jota had a golden chance saved point-blank. Then disaster for Liverpool – Jota got his second yellow for tripping Udogie. Off he went! Down to ten men! Spurs smelled blood. Pushed everyone forward. Five minutes added time felt like an hour. My missus yelled at me to take the bins out right then – talk about bad timing! Missed the final whistle scrambling outside.
Checked my phone after dragging the bins back – still 1-1! Madness. What. A. Game. Exhausted just watching it. Grabbed another beer afterwards just to calm down. That VAR no-call will haunt Spurs fans for ages, and Liverpool dropping points with a red card… proper Premier League drama. Glad I recorded it though – gonna rewatch that Son goal tonight. Magic.
