Visual English Premier League Team Map Discover 20 Ground Locations Quickly
So today I got this itch to figure out where all the Premier League teams actually play – like, physically on a map. You know how it is, hearing the names every week but not really picturing it? Felt like I needed a visual.
The Frustrating Start
Okay, step one seemed easy: find a list of all 20 Premier League teams. Typed that into a search engine faster than a winger down the flank. Boom, got the list. Arsenal, Villa, Bournemouth… all there. Felt good.
Then came the snag. Needed their stadium addresses. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Started clicking around club websites – bloody awful user experience on some of these, I tell ya. Navigating felt slower than a cold treacle pour. Information was hidden like a defender shielding the ball for a goal kick. Spent ages just trying to find the “Contact Us” or “Stadium Info” pages for some clubs. Got side-tracked looking at ticket prices. Ouch.
Trying to Make Sense of It
So now I had addresses. Problem was, they weren’t all formatted nicely. Some had full postcodes, some just had street names, one seemed to be described as “next to the river” – thanks, very helpful! Copy-pasted these into my notes app, making a messier list than my junk drawer.
The “Aha!” Moment: Remembered I could just slap these addresses into an online map service! Why didn’t I think of that first?
- Opened up my usual mapping app
- Started typing in addresses one by one
- Saw those little pins start popping up – like magic!
Was going smooth until the app got confused by one stadium address, suggesting places halfway across the country. C’mon, really? Had to double-check the club website. Typo on my end. Corrected it. Whew.
Actually Building the Map
Found the option to “save” a place. Saved each stadium location as I found it. The map started looking cluttered, pins practically on top of each other down in London! Decided to create a custom list just for “Premier League Stadiums.” Now they all grouped neatly together.
Zoomed out. Mind blown. Seeing them all together instantly clicked.
- Realised just how bunched up London teams are. Serious neighbourly vibes!
- Noticed the big gap in the middle/north where Manchester rules the roost.
- Saw the relative isolation of Bournemouth & Newcastle geographically.
Clicked on each pin. The little info cards popped up – stadium name, sometimes a picture. Even used the satellite view on a few. Looked at roads, nearby buildings. Felt like a mini-scouting trip. Needed snacks by this point.
Wrapping It Up
So yeah, mission accomplished! It took way longer than it should’ve, thanks to terrible club website navigation and my own brain farts. But having that visual map saved? Bloody brilliant. Now, when MotD comes on later and they show the fixtures, I can actually picture Fulham tucked away near the river or Brighton perched by the coast. Game feels a little bit closer, you know?
Might seem simple, but honestly, manually putting it together beats just looking at a ready-made map someone else did. You learn the quirks – like which clubs make their stadium address annoyingly hard to find! Worth the hassle for that quick geography lesson in the end.
